INTRODUCCIÓN: El parto es un proceso fisiológico y un evento trascendental en la vida de la mujer, en el cual puede experimentar la alegría de dar vida, pero también enfrenta emociones como angustia, miedo y ansiedad debido a la incertidumbre sobre su bienestar y el de su hijo, por lo que espera ser cuidada y sentirse acompañada durante todo el proceso. OBJETIVO: Comprender la percepción de las puérperas sobre el cuidado humanizado del personal de enfermería y las vivencias de la mujer durante el parto en un hospital en Valledupar. METODOLOGIA: Estudio multimétodo, integrando técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas, en dos fases; descriptivo de corte transversal y fenomenología descriptiva mediante el abordaje de Colaizzi, con una población conformada por mujeres en el servicio de Puerperio atendidas con partos vaginales entre los meses de enero, febrero y marzo de 2024, en un hospital de Valledupar. La recolección de la información se realizó a través de la encuesta de características sociodemográficas, el instrumento de “Percepción de comportamientos de cuidado humanizado de enfermería (PCHE) 3ª versión” y entrevistas en profundidad. RESULTADOS: De las 178 puérperas participantes, el 71,9% indicó que siempre o casi siempre percibieron cuidado humanizado por parte del personal de enfermería durante el parto. Dentro de las tres dimensiones evaluadas por el instrumento: Cualidades del hacer de enfermería obtuvo el mayor porcentaje en la categoría de "siempre", con un 81,8%. De las expresiones de las puérperas en las entrevistas a profundidad, se determinaron 95 enunciados significativos, organizados en 5 códigos descriptores y consolidados en 3 categorías: cualidades y valores del personal de enfermería, apoyo emocional y acompañamiento de enfermería y comunicación. La mayoría de las maternas describieron de manera positiva la experiencia vivida con relación al cuidado recibido por el personal de enfermería durante el parto CONCLUSIÓN: La percepción de las puérperas sobre el cuidado humanizado del personal de enfermería durante el proceso de parto es definida como buena. Las maternas destacaron la comprensión, el apoyo emocional y la amabilidad del personal de enfermería
