El objetivo de este artículo es analizar las principales características de las notas de presentación de las dos ediciones de la Antología de la literatura fantástica, preparadas por Jorge Luis Borges, Silvina Ocampo y Adolfo Bioy Casares, en 1940 y 1965, respectivamente. Desde mi perspectiva, en esas minibiografías se procura, en unos cuantos casos, reforzar el efecto de lo fantástico de los textos seleccionados. Pero también, exhiben rasgos adicionales que deben destacarse: la invención de datos, la mezcla de información real y ficticia, el humor, los juicios de valor, entre otros. Para el análisis, usaré planteamientos que han propuesto diversos estudiosos de las antologías encabezadas por Borges, como Annick Louis, Ángeles Mascioto y Lucas Adur, entre otros.
The objective of this article is to analyze the main characteristics of the presentation notes of the two editions of the Anthology of fantastic literature, prepared by Jorge Luis Borges, Silvina Ocampo, and Adolfo Bioy Casares, in 1940 and 1965, respectively. From my perspective, these minibiographies try, in some cases, to reinforce the effect of the fantastic of the selected texts. However, they also exhibit additional features that should be highlighted: the invention of data, the mixture of real and fictitious information, humor, value judgements, among others. For the analysis, I will use approaches that have been proposed by various scholars of the anthologies headed by Borges, such as Annick Louis, Ángeles Mascioto, and Lucas Adur, among others.
