El ordenamiento jurídico de la sociedad tradicional yorùbá se asentó sobre el pilar tripolar:  legalidad, moral para la humanidad  tal como se encuentra en las normas, literatura, y valores culturales del pueblo. Investigaciones  previas en el campo etnolingüístico  han   interrogado  el  tema  de  la  moral  y  la  legalidad  de   forma independiente, nadie ha abordado ambas en relación con la humanidad y esto inflige una pérdida sistemática de valores fundamentales a través de la imposición de la actitud prototípica. Por lo tanto, esta investigación tiene como objetivo cerrar la brecha entre nuestro sistema legal y nuestras reglas morales para resaltar la esencia de la humanidad desde el punto de vista filosófico yorùbá en el suroeste de Nigeria. Al adoptar la teoría del Omolúàbí, que engendra los códigos de conducta de las personas y estipula los castigos proporcionales contra quienes los quebrantan, la leyenda ObaAkárìgbò, Kobíowú y Abánisé, elegida deliberadamente entre otras tradiciones orales, nos sirven como datos, mientras que hemos adoptado el análisis contextual como método de análisis de datos. El pie de foto del diálogo establece con precisión una respuesta reconciliadora a la cuestión de la legalidad y la moralidad. Para la felicidad colectiva se necesita democracia (libertad, igualdad y fraternidad) para erradicar las violencias que actualmente amenazan a nuestra humanidad, especialmente los conflictos entre campesinos y mesones.
The judicial system of the Yoruba traditional society was established on the tripod pillars of legality, morality for humanity as it is found in the cultural norms, literature and values of the people. Previous researches in the ethno linguistic domain have interrogated the questions of morality and legality in isolation, none has treated the two in relationship with humanity thereby causing a systematic loss to the central values through the imposition of prototyped attitude. This research, therefore, aims at bridging the existing gap between our legal system and our moral rules with a view to foregrounding the essentials of the humanity from the Yoruba philosophic world view in the South West of Nigeria. With the adoption of the Omolúàbí theory which engenders the codes of conduct of the people and stipulates proportional punishments against the violators, the legend Oba Akárìgbò, Kobíowú and Abánisé, among other Yoruba oral traditions was purposively selected as our data while the contextual analysis was adopted as the method of data analysis. The dialogued legend reconciles the questions of legality and morality with precision. To ensure collective happiness, democracy (liberty, equality and fraternity) is essential to eradicate violence currently threatening our humanity, especially the farmer-herders conflicts.
