Documentación y recuperación de la lengua nonuya de la Amazonia colombiana

Abstract

Este artículo presenta la historia del proceso de documentación de la lengua nonuya de la Amazonia colombiana, su posterior incorporación en el Archivo DOBES del Max Planck Institute, destacando la contribución de estos materiales para la descripción de la lengua en un marco comparativo y tipológico. En segundo término, presenta el sentido y los alcances del proceso de recuperación lingüística y cultural nonuya asociado al trabajo de documentación y muestra que la relación entre los procesos de documentación y de recuperación lingüística nos llevan a cuestionar la noción de lo que significa una lengua en el contexto social multilingüe de la gente de centro.

This paper presents the history of the documentation process of the Nonuya language of the Colombian Amazon, its subsequent incorporation in the DOBES Archive of the Max Planck Institute, highlighting the contribution of these materials to the description of the language in a comparative and typological framework. Secondly, it presents the meaning and scope of the nonuya linguistic and cultural revival process associated with the documentation work and shows that the relationship between the documentation and linguistic revival processes leads us to question the notion of what a language means in the multilingual social context of the People of the Center.
