Montaje estructural y manejo de secuencias. Aspectos de la visión dinámica de la Gramática Cognitiva de Ronald W. Langacker a la luz de la Teoría de Redes Relacionales de Sydney Lamb

Abstract

La Gramática Cognitiva (GC) se propone reconsiderar nociones gramaticales clásicas desde un marco conceptual que intenta no imponer límites artificiales entre los diferentes niveles del análisis lingüístico, procurando, de este modo, integrar la semántica, la gramática, el procesamiento lingüístico-cognitivo y el discurso. Por su parte, la Teoría de Redes Relacionales (TRR) concibe el sistema lingüístico en conexión con otros subsistemas del sistema cognitivo. Toda la información se encuentra en la conectividad de la red y el sistema lingüístico (y conceptual) puede variar si se producen cambios en la estructura de esta red. La interrelación de los sistemas y niveles, así como la concepción dinámica en el abordaje de los fenómenos lingüísticos habilitan la comparación y búsqueda de compatibilidades entre ambos enfoques. El presente trabajo constituye un avance en la exploración de la plausibilidad neurocognitiva de conceptos y herramientas de análisis de la GC. El replanteo de la noción de subordinación, propuesto por Langacker (2014), y el análisis de casos puntuales de estructuras sintácticas constituyen la plataforma de base para su reconsideración en el marco de la TRR. Los resultados del análisis arrojan evidencias que parecen confirmar el carácter realista y plausible de la GC, en términos neurocognitivos.

Cognitive Grammar (CG) aims to reconsider classical grammatical notions from a conceptual framework that tries not to impose artificial boundaries between the different levels of linguistic analysis, thus seeking to integrate semantics, grammar, linguistic-cognitive processing and discourse. On the other hand, Relational Network Theory (NRT) conceives of the linguistic system in connection with other subsystems of the cognitive system. All information is in the connectivity of the network and the linguistic (and conceptual) system can change if changes occur in the structure of this network. The interrelation of systems and levels, as well as the dynamic conception in the approach to linguistic phenomena enable the comparison and search for compatibilities between the two approaches. The present work constitutes an advance in the exploration of the neurocognitive plausibility of concepts and tools of CG analysis. The rethinking of the notion of subordination, proposed by Langacker (2014), and the analysis of specific cases of syntactic structures constitute the basic platform for its reconsideration within the framework of NRT. The results of the analysis yield evidence that seems to confirm the realistic and plausible character of CG, in neurocognitive terms
