En este estudio se analizó el conocimiento y las opiniones de docentes y estudiantes activos del programa de Administración Industrial de la Universidad de Cartagena sobre la pertinencia del plan curricular vigente, para contribuir a la mejora del modelo curricular a través de la formulación de recomendaciones. Para ello, se revisaron los documentos institucionales, el Proyecto Educativo del Programa de Administración Industrial –PEP- y los pensum del año 2004 y 2015. Se aplicaron cuestionarios a una muestra representativa de docentes y de estudiantes para indagar sobre el conocimiento y la apreciación sobre cada pensum vigente. Los resultados muestran que los estudiantes que desarrollan el antiguo pensum lo conocen más que los estudiantes del nuevo; sin embargo, su conocimiento no es profundo para ambos grupos. Respecto a docentes, la mayoría conoce la propuesta curricular y, finalmente, tanto los docentes como estudiantes tienen apreciaciones positivas, en general, respecto a la pertinencia de ambos planes. Para el caso de docentes, la apreciación de pertinencia fue mayor para el pensum 2015. Palabras clave: Condición de género, Mercado laboral, Estereotipos sociales.
This study analyzed the knowledge and opinions of teachers and active students of the Industrial Management program of the University of Cartagena on the relevance of the current curricular plan, to contribute to the improvement of the curricular model through the formulation of recommendations. To this goal, the institutional documents, the Educational Project of the Industrial Management Program and the curriculum of the year 2004 and 2015 were reviewed. Surveys were applied to a representative sample of teachers and students to inquire about knowledge and appreciation about every current curriculum. The results show that the students who develop the old curriculum know it more than the students of the new one; however, their knowledge wasn´t deep for both groups. Regarding teachers, the majority knows the curricular proposal and finally, both teachers and students have positive opinions, in general, regarding the relevance of both plans. In the case of teachers, the appreciation of relevance was greater for the 2015 school.
