Beyond code: The significance of language proficiency in the technology sector

Abstract

Taking into account the evidence gathered throughout this report, the importance that the experience of being an intern brought to my formation as a Foreign Languages student is a fundamental step in my development from student to professional. As I reflect on the multifaceted dimensions of this experience throughout the document, it is evident how this experience has served as a bridge between academia and professional identity, leaving me with a profound appreciation for the dynamic nature of foreign languages studies. This chapter of my educational voyage has shaped and broadened my trajectory and perspective regarding my career. Furthermore, the exposure to different challenges has left me with the ability to confidently navigate challenges with a sense of adaptability and resourcefulness, not just in my personal life but in my professional journey that extends beyond linguistic proficiency.
