El objetivo es analizar la (re)configuración del paisaje sonoro del Afropacífico colombo-ecuatoriano durante el evento bajo el marco de la geografía de la música y el sonido, y una metodología cualitativa. El Petronio configura y reconfigura el paisaje sonoro afropacífico colombo-ecuatoriano durante su realización al movilizar el sonido, el baile y la estética, cartografiando parcialmente y situando discursivamente las expresiones musicales afropacíficas. A su vez, se generan espacios afrocentrados.The Petronio Álvarez Festival is an event held in Cali, Colombia and it is primarily dedicated to the Afro-Pacific music of the Pacific region of Colombia and Ecuador. This article aims to analyze the (re)shapping of the Afro-Pacific soundscape during the event, using the frameworks of the Geography of music and sound, and a qualitative methodology. The Petronio shapes and reshapes the Afro-Pacific soundscape by mobilizing sound, dance, and aesthetics, partially mapping and discursively situating Afro-Pacific musical expressions.
